Pine Hills Trail

Challenge

Orange County required a multi-use trail through an existing utility easement that also allowed access for Duke Energy and security.

Client Orange County
Location Orange County, FL
Contract Value $5,860,000
Schedule Jul 2016 - Sep 2017

Solution

To meet their need, we constructed a multi-use trail within the Duke Energy corridor and a two-lane trailhead and roadway with a turnaround culdesac at the end of the trail.

We completed the project more than 5 months ahead of schedule, while coordinating multiple entities, including construction within one of the county's largest public parks.

Result

With little impact to the public and project stakeholders, we delivered the project 5 months ahead of schedule. Now the community can enjoy a great, multi-use trail, allowing safe access through their neighborhoods and to Barnett Park, SR 50 (Colonial Drive), and Silver Star Rd. retail outlets.
